"She's just under the upper hand
goes mad for a couple grams
and she don't wanna go outside, tonight.
'cos in the pipe she'll fly to the motherland and
sell love to another man
It's too cold outside, for angels to fly,
for angels to fly"

This extract of media text is taken from the song Little Lady composed by Ed Sheeran and accompanied by Mikill Pane. Little Lady was written based on a true story and a real girl named Angel who Sheeran met whilst volunteering at a Crisis homeless shelter. Sheeran says "I played at a Christmas gig for the homeless charity Crisis. I met this homeless there and her story inspired me to write a song. I wrote a tune about a similar situation, not entirely based on her, because I didn't want to pinch someone else's story." The song highlights the message and awareness of drug addictions and abusive actions towards young people; it has connected with many parents as they say they can relate to similar situations that have occurred with their daughters. The target audience for this song and genre is varied as it appeals to a wide range of ages.
Ed became famous when he was caught performing in a club in LA by Jamie Foxx. Jamie then gave Ed a place to stay and record. After this, Ed came back to the UK where he then spoke to Elton John representatives and got signed. Ed went on to sign with his current label and released The A-Team as an underground track. This was the track that got him noticed into the public eye.
